What if you have no idea of your own at all? Where do you look to see what might be a good idea for you?
One place might be TV, radio, or newspaper. There are often articles or stories that can pop an idea into your head, if you are looking for it.
Another is popular books both fiction and non-fiction.
Or, how-to books.
One of my friends who worked in corporate America for a long time got the idea to make cutting boards. Now, you and I both know that every store in the country with any kitchen things in it have cutting boards. And, some are not cheap.
But, his idea was to make them customized. To fit the personality of the customer. And, he charges a bunch and gets it.
Another acquaintence figured that he could make a snow shovel a whole lot better than what was selling in the stores and his idea took off as well.
Until recent years, there hasn't been much of a demand for snow shovels in the south, but that seems to be starting. What if???
