Our niche or target audience is people wanting to start a business. Many of whom have no idea what they want to do or how to go about starting a business.
The way affiliate marketing works is that we sign up with the vendor to be an affiliate. They assign us a code that we can use in our marketing. We build marketing materials around their offers and promote them in a variety of locations including social media where appropreate.
We essentially become a marketing arm for the vendor who then pays us a commission for any sales tracked to our code.
You, too, can operate as an affiliate. You don't carry any inventory or accounts receivable. Some of the vendors reduces their risk by getting paid upfront and handle cancellations and returns. If they have already paid you for something that they give the customer a return for, they will debit your account for the commission paid. This does not happen often.
All you need to do to find companies that offer affiliate marketing is go to our Products section and see if they offer something that you would like to add to your inventory of things to sell.
Or, as you are searching the internet for potential vendors, look at the very bottom of their opening page to see if they have listed either affiliates or partners. Then follow their instructions.
Or, you can sign up with companies that put the vendors and affiliates together. There are a wide variety of these types of companies around. Here is a list of some:
